The Slovak Innovation and Energy Agency is organising the first of a series of workshops focused on energy efficiency in SMEs.
The aim is to provide relevant information to SMEs, SME associations and energy efficiency organisations on the benefits of energy audits and implementation of energy efficiency measures.
This ties into the European Commission’s 2050 policy framework for climate and energy aims at low-carbon transition that fundamentally re-envisages energy consumption. It is argued that a “sooner-than-later” high energy efficiency policy will accelerate the transition to a low-carbon society. This transition could also boost Europe’s economy, thanks to increased investment in breakthrough technologies and low carbon energy sources such as Renewable Energy Sources (RES).
