Led by the Energy Saving Trust in collaboration with the Austrian Energy Agency, the project has released it's second research report on Existing support measures for energy audits and energy efficiency in SMEs.
The report explores the existing frameworks in place to help SMEs in becoming more energy efficient, as well as giving recommendations on how we can optimise these frameworks, as well as proposing new policies to drive energy efficiency in SMEs.
"The most important barrier in adopting energy audits and energy efficiency measures is that the SME owners and/or managers cannot recognize or quantify the clear benefit, ... not only financial but also environmental, [and the] improvement of their working environment and social responsibility."
Dr Spyridon Economou
